Open Joist 2000
The Open Joist 2000 floor truss is an open web, all wood floor truss that is engineered and constructed with superior strength and load capabilities. The strength of these trusses comes from the structural power of the triangle… a building shape as old as civilization. The open web configuration of the truss allows for free access and easy installation of mechanical components inside the floor system such as plumbing pipes, electrical wiring and duct work. This allows for a basement ceiling to be unobstructed of mechanicals for a higher ceiling.
This superior floor truss is built with a 2”x3” top and bottom flange which provides a wider nailing surface for fastening and adhesives to ensure a quieter and squeak-free floor. Because the Open Joist 2000 is constructed in a controlled environment they are built to quality standards and are always straight and square.
Each truss is individually tested to more than twice their maximum allowable load and are the only floor truss product individually tested. This assures that you receive the best quality product with every floor truss.
Open Joist 2000 is so sure of its strength and integrity that it comes with a lifetime guarantee for the life of the structure to the end user.
Open Joist 2000 is code approved by IRC (International Residential Code) 2003.
We realize that the floor system of any structure is a vital component of the whole structure. That is why we use Open Joist 2000 as our standard truss because you can’t get a better quality floor truss.
